Just curious, who officially said this was Varric’s Theme? I’ve seen that listed pretty much everywhere I’ve seen the full title of the song, but I don’t think about Varric even once while listening to it—it’s always been a Hawke/Anders song, where they were in a friendmance and Hawke was betrayed by Anders, probably killing him at the end. I’ve thought as much since even before I knew the song was used in the game’s credits, since I’ve never actually watched the credits roll at the end of the game. (Also, I’ve only once killed Anders, on a Sebby romance pt, so it’s also a bit odd for me that I associate the song with Hawke killing Anders.)

I mean, I can almost see logic associating the song title itself with Varric—cause you know he didn’t tell the whole story—but the actual lyrics just don’t strike me as anything to do with him at all. :/

Funny! I always saw it related to Anders, and always thought that I don’t get a specific connection to Andres by that song. I don’t relate it to him. Maybe I get some lyrics wrong, but idk it’s not an Anders’ song to me.
